Review
This was a new author, new MC series for me even though Road To Peace is the sixth book in the Dogs of War series. Each can be read standalone but I usually prefer to read in order so I can get a grasp on the background and sub characters.

Hatch was an instant like for me, he was a more understated alpha guy as opposed to the usual growly hotness we find in MC reads but then this was a slightly different MC. It wasn’t the hard, gritty MC I usually go for and less one percenter and more riding club. Don’t get me wrong though he was still extremely hot and enigmatic.

I liked Maisie too, a nice strong woman, a single mother after the sudden death of her husband. She was a go getter who ran her own business and had her priorities straightened out. Then along comes Hatch to bring that extra spark into her life.

I liked how the couple first met and how they then continued to bump into each other that lead to them both wanting to take a chance and push aside their assumptions of a new relationship. Great build up and an enjoyable romance.

I did think the curve ball thrown in was a little too farfetched and had me rolling my eyes. Yes I know this is fiction but no I just didn’t get that part. Strange.

Overall though an entertaining contemporary MC story and I would consider reading the other books in the series. In fact I have downloaded the first book. I would definitely recommend this for sure as it was a four star read for me.
