The final part to Teller’s duet (the first part being Beyond
Reckless) and I am so glad the author decided to split this into two books as
it really did justify it. To squeeze it into one book would have lost a lot of
the depth that the two parts have given.
Teller is still building up his strength and confidence to
get back on his bike after his accident. He is also trying to move his
relationship with Charlotte (yes we can now reveal!) to another level. The
issue of her being related to Merlin from another MC is still a sticky issue
and holding a wedge between them. But then secrets from the past start to
unravel and retribution is found.
There is a lot that is resolved in this book and some of the
lines I was thinking were thrown out after a curveball is pushed into the
equation. The suspects I had in my head were brought into a different light
(still bad but not as bad as I had thought firstly) which is great how the
author keeps the reader guessing.
I absolutely loved the banter and love shown between all the
MC and the old ladies and it was great catching up with the other couples and
how they challenged and welcomed Charlotte. Charlotte still has her doubts
about how this ‘thing’ between her and Marcel (Teller) can ever work out but
then when love comes into the equation they are both resigned to making it
work, no matter of the outside forces.
As with the first book the passion between Marcel and
Charlotte is off the charts but now it reflects with the love they have for
each other.
Z has got me more intrigued from this book and like I was with
Teller, I know there is much more depth to this laugh a minute man. He is
holding some major secret which I know AJL will put into another spellbinding
novel for all us LOKI fans. I can’t wait! Seriously!
I absolutely FLOVED the ending on this one and the ‘one
upmanship’ between Teller and Murphy. It was both heart-warming and hilarious. It was everything I would want for Teller
after all he has been though to finally now get his spectacular HEA. Another
enthralling and gasp worthy episode from the LOKI series with a fantastic pace
and phenomenal storyline. Loved it! A definite MUST READ! Five stars!
