Accountant slash bartender slash adventure-seeker Reg Moore has fun talking and drinking with The Jeremy Jameson and can’t say no when the supposedly straight rock star makes him a once in a lifetime offer: keep him company on his tour by playing the part of his boyfriend.

Listening to music, traveling the world, and jumping off cliffs is fun. Falling in love is even better. But to stay with Jeremy after the stage lights dim, Reg will need to help him realize there’s nothing pretend about their relationship.

REVIEW
Foxy Rating = Five Stars ++++++
This is my first book by this author and it most definitely will not be the last, I absolutely loved it!

Jeremy Jameson is at the peak of his music career so should be riding high on his success, but for Jeremy, life seems to have no sparkle or sizzle. For his entire life he has lived in the goldfish bowl of the spotlight due to his parent’s showbiz careers and it was a natural progression for Jeremy to carry on in the same route due to his love of music. However, every decision has been made for him both professionally and personally to ensure the money machine that his music is, remains constant. So yes, a rock star can live a sheltered life. To take stock of his life at the age of thirty-one, Jeremy takes off for a few days and finds himself in an out of the way dive bar in a small town.

Reg Moore has always been happy in his shell, he knows who he is, what he wants and how to get it. He doesn’t suffer the small stuff and is content in his life with his family supporting him. In order to live his dreams of travelling he is currently saving up all the money he can get by working as a barman in his local and who would have guessed who walked into the bar that night.

Jeremy thinks he is well disguised and finds himself having a great time shooting the time away drinking and chatting to the barman, Reg. He feels free for the first time to be himself and speak as he feels. At the end of the night, slightly the worse for wear, Reg offers him a place to sleep off his overindulgence, even after Jeremy’s stage aloofness makes a small appearance. Reg just bats the attitude away which is a refreshing change for Jeremy. He feels at ease in this man’s company and is desperate to have him around for longer. When he finds out Reg’s dream to travel he offers him, well has a bet, which if he wins Reg should come on tour with him and pretend to be his boyfriend!

I must admit when I first read that I was thinking why would he need to pretend that and not just be an assistant but it is as you read further you get to understand Jeremy and even know his sub conscious before he gets to so it’s kind of like he was hinting at himself who he truly was!

I was so glad this was no insta love or a GFY which I thought it could be at first. Reg is an amazing character and I just loved the whole package. He was so clued in to Jeremy it was gorgeous to see revealed, in one fabulous chapter after another, the love developing between these two gloriously divine men. It was one of those books you just could not put down and everything stopped so you could continue to be lost in the beautiful romance evolving.

The vulnerability of Jeremy just took my breath away, after all here was a thirty one year old man who didn’t know himself? But then every thought he’d ever had was given to him by others, his life controlled by the inch. When he couldn’t explain to Reg why none of his relationships with all the women he had never lasted, I was there shouting ‘Think about it J man, just think!’ When he was hesitant in asking for a hug my heart just melted and immediately Reg stepped in and just gave whatever Jeremy needed. He was wonderful for nurturing what Jeremy needed and his protector. Oh I so loved this book and these men!

When Jeremy finally opens up and accepts who he is and the relationship stepped up to another level I was rubbing my hands with glee. Oh and the sexy times that then took place – oh my GEE!

A brilliant sweet and sexy read that has left me with a serious book hangover and a ‘you must read this book’ recommendation. Five stars plus.

  1. I am curious about why he would need him to pretend to be his boyfriend.
